Huge thanks to Sergeant Michaela Moloney and her colleagues at Garda Síochána – Cork, Kerry & Limerick – Southern Region Henry Street Garda Station Limerick, for their fantastic donation of €1,700.00 to the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Care Centre here in Kilkee.
On Wednesday 17th October last, a Coffee Morning fundraiser in memory of friend and colleague Garda Michael O’Shea R.I.P., was held in the canteen at Henry Street Garda Station. Mick, who sadly passed away in August, worked in Henry Street from 2006 to 2013 when he then transferred to Ennistymon. In honour of Mick’s sporting prowess it was arranged to have the Liam McCarthy Cup, the Ladies All Ireland Football Junior West County Cup and the Sam Maguire Cup present on the day for photographs. Support came from far and wide including Mick’s colleagues from Co. Clare.
Sincere thanks also to Mick’s family and parents Joe and Elizabeth O’Shea, whose request it was to donate monies raised to the West Clare Cancer Centre.
